The capital of the Vercors is a charming and lively alpine town.Villard de Lans has been a touristy destination since the 20's when people came to breath its pure alpine air. Skiing started a few years later and today, Villard de Lans hosts a very respectable downhill ski area. With 125 km of slopes, it is the biggest one in the Vercors. The resort offers a wide range of accommodation from grand hotels from the 20's to cosy B&Bs.Visitors are spoilt by the choice of bars and restaurants, shops, as well as indoor and outdoor activities.


Wintersports

The downhill area is linked to Corrençon en Vercors'ski area.
With 8 black, 9 red, 8 blue and 4 green runs, it suits all skiers from beginners to experts. Villard de Lans / Corrençon en Vercors offers all the facilities one can expect from a big resort such as hands-free ski passes and mountain restaurants, but at a very affordable price !

From Villard de Lans, cross-country skiing enthusiasts can easily access the 130 km ski tracks of the Haut Vercors ( Bois Barbu, Corrençon en Vercors and Herbouilly.
