Rock climbing

The Vercors has been a famous spot among rock climbers for a long time because of its beautiful limestone cliffs. Some of them like le Mont Aiguille, la Barriere Est, Archiane and Presles are a must for rock lovers.
However, with 150 climbing sites, including 31 equipped sites for learners, the Vercors will please all levels, from complete beginners to experts, children and adults.

Caving

The Vercors has one of France's richest and diversified cave structures with many caves, abysses etc... There are over 300 listed caving sites, making it the perfect place to discover this unusual sport.

Golf

The picturesque village of Corrençon en Vercors hosts a 18-hole golf course. In the forest, at the edge of the Reserve Naturelle du Vercors, this beautiful golf course is an oasis of tranquility. There is a beginner's area adjacent to the golf course with 45 modules, a training bunker and a 5-hole beginner's course.

Canyoning

Sliding, jumping, swimming...canyoning guarantees a good adrenaline rush ! This fun activity is available at 32 different sites, ranging from easy to very technical. Among them, some are very famous like the Ecouges Canyon and the Furon Canyon. Others are very unusual like the Moules Marinieres and Rio Sourd.

Parapenting

Thanks to its climate and relief, the Vercors is an ideal place for parapenting. Weather permitted, tandem flights are available throughout the year. There are 12 parapenting sites in the Vercors, the main ones are in Lans en Vercors and Cote 2000 (Villard de Lans).

Fishing

With fresh water flowing thru a protected environment, the Vercors' rivers are some of France's most beautiful ones. Kingdom of the "fario" trout, these waters are very rich in fishes and all kind of aquatic species. All type of fishing can be practiced in the Vercors.

Hot air ballooning

Go up high and discover the Vercors' beautiful landscape from another angle ! On a good visibility day, you can even see Mont Blanc. This unique experience can be enjoyed in safety at any age. Flight, initiation and flying schools are available in the Vercors.

Horse-riding

Equestrian and pony clubs offer different packages :
trek or lessons by the hour, by the day, week-end or by the week.

Orienteering

Maps in hands, beginners or experts can navigate thru several courses adapted to their levels. These orienteering courses can be done by foot or on bikes.

Accrogrotte

The "Accrogrotte" is a new concept invented by the guide and speleologist Emmanuel Gondras. This new sport combines caving and climbing to discover the amazing underworld of the Vercors.
